Dogs For Veterans

Paws for Purple Hearts (PPH) makes a real difference every day by dramatically improving the lives of our nation’s warriors facing challenges such as post-traumatic stress (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and mobility impairments.

The program offers therapeutic intervention for Veterans and active-duty military personnel by teaching those with PTSD to train service dogs for their comrades with combat-related disabilities at no cost. PPH dogs provide Veterans with independence and security as they perform daily tasks like tugging open doors, switching lights on and off, and picking up dropped items.
